Wanborough Playgroup is a charity run by
a voluntary committee, usually made up of parents. The committee members
change annually and are formally elected at the AGM, held in mid-September
each year. The constitution requires the committee to have, as a minimum,
three main office holders: the Chair, the Treasurer and the Secretary in
order to run. Playgroup has recently adopted the Pre-School Learning
Alliance Model Pre School Constitution 2011.
Many
parents pass on their roles as their children progress from Playgroup to
Primary School and it is therefore vital that we source people each year
who are willing to come forward and volunteer to take these roles for
Playgroup to keep running. The roles are widely regarded as sociable, fun
and rewarding.
All
committee members are elected, subject to passing an enhanced CRB
disclosure check, which is registered with Ofsted.
